Instead of displaying list of search results as normal, my PC-cillin (MicroTrends) alert message comes up with Yahoo search string address and will not allow access because of potential spyware infection. Is this happening to other users? I know how to remedy by adding Yahoo search string to my exception list, but don’t want to if indeed Yahoo now is using spyware in conjunction with their search engine. In the interim, I am using the other major search engines, and they do not produce the same spyware warning message. With stories of AT&T, Yahoo and others allowing government access to e-mail etc. without customer knowledge, wondering if this is part of Homeland Security or something.
